Nature News - A monthly e-publication from Liberty Wildlife

The Guardian volunteer group works behind the scenes to stage the annual benefit dinner and auction to raise the money that Liberty Wildlife needs each year to continue our mission. Without the Guardians, there would quite simply be no Liberty Wildlife. Who are these hard-working women, and what keeps them coming back year after year?

And if you would like to join the Guardians, please contact Peggy Cole at 480-998-5284. She will provide you an invitation to Wine, Women and Wildlife, the October 25 kickoff party to get efforts underway for the May 2008 Wishes for Wildlife benefit.

The first annual Liberty Wildlife Birdie Fore Birds Golf Tournament was held in September at Starfire Golf Course, and was a huge success. Not only was $11,000 raised that will allow Liberty Wildlife to better help more animals, but the participants of the tournament thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

At Liberty Wildlife, we have done thousands of memorable releases. In fact, every release, big or small, is memorable. I am happy to say, having done many of them, that they never feel humdrum. Each one has its own special twist or story. One particularly spectacular release occurred late last month.

"Thanks for showing us the birds today. Where can I see them again?"

It doesn't matter if it's a school program or a workplace exhibit on behalf of the Environmental Fund of Arizona; kids want to show the birds and what they learned to their parents, and adults want their kids to meet the birds.

Find out where to see the birds again here.
